Patrick D. Nunn

Patrick D. Nunn has authored several books, including the popular Vanished Islands and Hidden Continents of the Pacific and The Edge of Memory: Ancient Stories, Oral Tradition, and the Postglacial World. This year, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society of Queensland, and in 2003, he received the Pacific Science Association’s Gregory Medal for “outstanding service to science in the Pacific.” He has been a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on several occasions, and he was a co-recipient of its 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
