The Argument

Eyewitness accounts indicate the presence of UFOs near Pripyat and the environs of Chernobyl before, during, and after the nuclear disaster. During the month prior to the disaster, local pilots had observed increased UFO activity in the area. The former Soviet official newspaper Pravda subsequently reported that hundreds of people witnessed a UFO hovering over the Chernobyl plant for roughly six hours during the disaster. Pravda also reported that the UFO was responsible for a four-times reduction of the radiation levels released by the destroyed reactor, saving people and the environment from the deadliest effects of the disaster. Whatever the role of the alien presence, Chernobyl was not solely a man-made accident.
