With Covid-19 currently hanging over our heads, the need for work-from-home positions is greater than ever. Thankfully, technology has provided us many ways in which to hybridize our workspaces. But the question arises: If Covid-19 ever goes away, will 'hybrid work' still become the way of the future?
Yes, 'hybrid work' is the way of the future
With or without the Covid-19 pandemic, the world was already starting to hybridize workspaces because technology has advanced to the point to where we can do so. From video meetings to virtual filesharing, technology has long been paving the way for virtual workspaces to become a reality, and millions of people already worked from home before Covid-19 was even a thing.
No, 'hybrid work' is not the way of the future
As soon as Covid-19 goes away and life gets back to normal again, 'hybrid work' will no longer be necessary. It is not within human nature to sit inside all day; we need to go out, move around, and socialize for the sake of our mental and physical health. 'Hybrid work' may still exist, but it will not become the way of the future because it promotes an unhealthy, sedentary way of life.
